Journal of Therapeutic
The publication of an article in the Journal of Therapeutic is an essential foundation in advancing knowledge and maintaining a respected academic network in therapeutic sciences. It reflects the quality of the authors' work and the institutions supporting them. Peer-reviewed articles contribute to and uphold the integrity of scientific methods. Therefore, all parties involved in publishing—authors, editors, reviewers, publishers, and associated organizations—are expected to adhere to ethical standards. The publisher of the Journal of Therapeutic, Poltekkes KMC Kuningan, is committed to upholding these standards and ensuring all stages of publication are managed responsibly, free from undue influence or conflicts of interest.
Publication Decisions
The editor of the Journal of Therapeutic is responsible for determining which submitted articles meet the journal's criteria and are eligible for publication. Decisions are based on the relevance, originality, and quality of the research, as well as its importance to the journal’s readership. Editorial decisions are guided by the journal's policies and adhere to ethical and legal standards regarding libel, copyright, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with reviewers or editorial board members to ensure fair decision-making.
Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual merit, regardless of the authors' race, gender, religion, ethnic background, nationality, or political views.
Confidentiality
The editorial team must treat all submissions confidentially, sharing manuscript information only with the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and the publisher as necessary.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished material from submitted manuscripts may not be used for editors’ or reviewers’ personal research without the explicit written consent of the authors.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer reviewers assist editors in evaluating submissions and may also provide constructive feedback to authors to improve the quality of their work.
Promptness
Reviewers who feel unqualified to assess a manuscript or are unable to provide a timely review should inform the editor promptly.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents and should not be shared or discussed without the editor’s permission.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews must be conducted objectively and constructively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate, and reviewers must provide clear, evidence-based feedback.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant studies that have not been cited by the authors. Any significant overlap with other published work should also be reported to the editor.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must avoid evaluating manuscripts where they have competing interests or conflicts arising from personal, professional, or financial relationships.
Duties of Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors must present accurate and objective accounts of their research. Sufficient detail and references must be provided to allow replication. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is original. If the work of others is used, it must be appropriately cited or quoted. Plagiarism in any form is unethical and unacceptable.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is considered unethical. Authors should avoid publishing overlapping research in multiple venues.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of others' contributions is essential. Authors must cite any work that influenced their study.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research. All co-authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their work.
Fundamental Errors in Published Works
Authors are required to notify the journal promptly if they discover errors in their published work and cooperate to issue corrections or retractions.
Allegations of Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or unethical practices in conducting or reporting research. Editors will investigate allegations of misconduct in accordance with best practices, such as those outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Proven cases of misconduct may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, or other corrective measures.
Retraction Policy
The Journal of Therapeutic will consider retractions if:
There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error.
The findings have been published elsewhere without proper acknowledgment or permission.
The work constitutes plagiarism.
The research was conducted unethically.
The journal follows COPE Retraction Guidelines to ensure transparency and fairness in the retraction process.
